A raise…and the drivers of The Villages.

So. Big news.

I start work tomorrow.

Home Depot Lady Lake. HOLLA!

Lil’ change in plans…originally, I was supposed to be all over the district, setting displays and training and things of that nature…but that all changed. Apparently, the store manager, Melissa, that I originally interviewed with, liked me SO much…that she offered me a job at her store instead, and not to mention, a pretty substantial raise.

So, that is how I came to be known as : Thomas, the Department Head of Hardware.

Granted, I know nothing about hardware, or anything in Home Depot for that matter…but I guess I will have to learn…I mean, when I went to Circuit City and started there I knew nothing about TV’s or Computers and now I am a virtual expert.

Anyway, orientation is tomorrow at 8AM…back to normal sleep patterns for the ole’ boy Thomas.

The only drawback to this job…is the fact I will be dealing with drivers of The Villages all over again. Woo Hoo…bring on the tufts of blue hair and wrinkly knuckles that are barely visible about the steering wheel that controls a Buick.
